You always want to look your best.  When you look good, you feel good.  There are certain times of the day in which your more creative than others so when those times arise, you want to have your game face and game jacket on so you can act on your inspiration.  When you don’t look good, you probably don’t feel like your at the top of your game, which will become the excuse you will use not to make any videos.  If you want people to take you serious, LOOK  YOUR BEST!

This is called The “Hollywood Secret”.  You want to try to change your camera angle every seven seconds.  When you have motion and adventure, your videos will “click” with your audience.  How many videos do you see where folks are stationary saying the same old thing, you have heard a million times, with the same old background of some plaques they had one back in highschool.

You want to aim for a ratio of two webcam videos per 1 “action” video.

You want to create unanswered questions or expectations that will be answered throughout the video.  Create curiosity early on in the video to keep people around.  Give them a taste of what is to come later in the video.

Understand how people connect through non verbal communications.  You are communicating at a sub-concious level through video.  People will pick up on your body language, smile, etc.  Be confident and put your shoulders back and lift your chin up a little.  You will gain confidence through your posture.

Learn to draw in your videos.  Learn to get creative in your videos. Drawing enhances everything.  It shows action and accelerates the #2 Secret of capturing a viewers attention.

Pay attention to the speed and pitch as which your talking.  You want to talk quickly but not hurried.  Think of a really good song and try to get your speaking to flow like it.  Be clear, concise and to the point, but be natural about it.

1. Pretty simple really.  I highly suggest getting The FLIP Camera. It can be used for video and it has software in which you can get the still shots from the video that you take.  Pretty snazzy. If you are technically challenged, no worries, it is very simple.
2. You can get as creative as you want with your videos. I say, the wilder the better.  People don’t like to watch boring videos so make them exciting with some facial expressions.  SMILE and RELAX.
3. Make Sure that you have excellent lighting so that people can actually see you in the video.
4. Backgrounds are important.  If your selling bikes, make sure your in your bike shop. If your selling real estate, how about showcasing one of your Mac Daddy Homes and do the video there.  You get the picture.  If your an extreme Surfer, like me, make sure you get your video with the surf in the background.

Topic Ideas for Your Video

For your first video, you probably want to introduce yourself to your audience and talk about your story and your business. If it’s just for leisure you can just tell your story. Here are several examples of what you can make a video about.

1. A “How To” Video on how to do something.
2. Make a video about a problem then talk about the solution.
3. A Lifestyle Video, if your in to that sort of thing..LOL
4. A video of you in an exotic location.
5. Videos of you doing fun, adventurous or exciting things with friends, family or just you.

An Outline for your soon to be “Viral Marketing Video”.

1. Introduce yourself to your audience
2. You want to relate to your audience or prospect.
3. You want to really identify the problem.
4. Now its time to share the solution.
5. The last part is very important. You want to get your viewer to take ACTION. Send them to your website, landing page or where ever you want them to go to get more information.

Remember, you want to be real and you want to be yourself.  You can get into a character, but make sure it’s realistic.

Dont worry about making your video perfect, just get it out there.  Your videos will improve with each one you make.
