Somewhere Deep In The Adirondacks.
Tuesday, June 29th, 2010
I know it has been a while since my last post. Sometimes we just need a little time to step back and reflect on what we are doing, where we are going and get focused again.
My family and I usually come up to New York State in the summer time as it gives our children time with their grandparents and cousins and gives my wife Pamela and I a break from our lives in Georgia. I have to say, I do miss it up here. The air is clean, the scenery is magnificent and there is no where else I would rather put on my running shoes and just run first thing in the morning.
One of the cool things about working off a computer and a cell phone is it gives you the freedom to work where ever you want. During previous years coming up to Bolton Landing, NY (Where my in-laws live) there was no cell phone service, and I had to spend time with my long time friend and college roommate Darren in Saratoga Springs, NY (About 45 minutes south).
Due to recent changes in technology and AT&T putting out a rather dandy product called 3G Microcell, we now have cell phone coverage here. It hooks up through the high speed internet and WI-FI and provides up to 10 users in the household that use AT&T cell service and can handle up to 4 lines of usage at once with 5 bar service. It’s pretty slick. Best part about it is it doesn’t gobble up your minutes when your using it.
