Social Media Madness – What is currently going on in the Social Media Networks?

OK Folks, Its been a while since I have brought up the topic but I just couldnt hold my tongue any more.  I look on twitter and all I see is a sea of Spam.  People have no idea how to use social media to build their online empire.

I look at some of the tweets and think to myself, “Are these people fricking for real?” People spamming their money making opportunity or stating that they have the best system to gather the most followers on twitter, etc.  I then go look at their following and they have like 500 followers.  GET REAL FOLKS!!!

The bottom line is that social media sites like myspace and facebook are places to meet people you already know.  Sure you may drive some untargeted, curious traffic to your squeeze pages.  You may tweet about your opportunity and get some curious eyes to your page, but I have to ask.  Are any of your leads converting at a high level?  The answer is NOPE!!  How do I know?  Cause I talk with people daily and find out what they are doing to build their businesses online.

To get real traction with the Social Media Networks, you have to gather a trusted following.  Remember, People do business with people they like and people they trust, PERIOD!!

Lead with value rather than your lousy MLM or biz opp.  The internet is scoured with crappy opportunities.  Most of them just money hungry freaks who want to get their hands in your pocket rather than nurture a long lasting relationship which would be mutually beneficial to all involved.  Quite frankly It makes me want to puke.

If you truly want to build an empire online, use the social media networks to build credibility and share information with your potential audience.  Lead with Value (Informative Webinars, Quality E-Books or courses that will increase ones value to society).  While your doing all of that, get real good at writing ad copy and with Google PPC.

Google PPC is where 75% of your highly targeted traffic will come from and yes you will pay for it but who gives a rip when your making $4 off every $1 you spend.  Wouldnt you spend as much as you could?  Yep, me too.

The Bottom line is, if your one of those bozos who doesnt even have your sales funnel in place, your not branded online and your just spamming everyone you know, GET WITH THE FRICKING PROGRAM!!  No one likes a sorry spammer.
