    The Astonishing Attitude of Action

    Saturday, September 5th, 2009

    peahi-jawz

Paddling out into huge waves used to be very scary for me as a child. I grew up on Maui, Hawaii and learned to surf on the north shore at a world famous surf spot called Hookipa. I can clearly remember the first time I paddled out to surf on my first surf board. A storm has just blown through the Island and the waves were huge. You could feel the rumble of these waves from the beach

When I think back to that day, I realize that I had less fear than I sometimes do today about doing risky things. Was I scared? Hell yes and for a good reason. I knew people who had drowned, gotten bitten by sharks and stung by portugese man-o-wars (Jellyfish).  Hookipa was no joke, but I was determined to learn to surf.

Anyways, as I paddled out, huge waves that were over 20 ft. high . My arms were burning, I was out of breath and my adrenaline was pumping. I knew I had to get out past the break if I was going to #1 catch one of these waves and #2 survive. If you drop into one of these waves and are not fully commited, there is no bailing out, its called wiping out and that is no fun.  You go over the falls on one of these babies and it will hold you under for sometimes 20 seconds.  You get tossed and turned, sometimes slamming into jagged coral and run the risk of your surfboard fin running into your body.  Your attached to it by a leash on your ankle.

    Magical Things Leaders Do

    Thursday, September 3rd, 2009

    Your Roadmap to Leadership

    1. Visualize Your Goals – I make it a practice to set aside at least 15 minutes first thing in the morning and right before Igo to bed and I close my eyes and visualize my goals and dreams.  What I have realized over the years is that the clearer the picture you hold in your mind and the stronger the emotion behind your goals, the closer I am to having them come to pass.  You owe it to yourself to get a real clear picture of exactly what you want from your life.

    2. Taking Action – Action cures fear, EVERY Time.  There are a lot of people who like to talk about what they plan to do, but never quite do those things.  These are the wannabees.  All leaders are serious action takers and lead from the front.  The opposite of action is reaction.  You always want to be acting and not re-acting to stay in control of your circumstances.  Always be in the action mode.

    3. Strength of action, Self mastery, Personal development and strength of relationships are essential attributes to a leader.  How big you push is how big you will pull.  When trying to accomplish something big, you have to plow through obstacles to get to your goal.  Self mastery is really tuning into what you are capable of.  It’s becoming mature, a person of integrity (doing what you say your going to do, when you say your going to do it), and taking responsibility for your life.  Your self esteem depends on it.  You will never outgrow your own self image, so keep yourself in a reading program.  Make sure your filling your brain with positive information.  Whether that be self help books, the bible or what ever.  Just don’t make it a habit watching the news every night like clockwork.

Top Ten Questions asked by Tire Kickers looking into network marketing

    Wednesday, August 19th, 2009

    1. Is an Internet Marketing Business Risky?

    - I love that question.  I will answer it partially with a question.  Is your job risky?  Being that companies are laying people off left and right, I would have to say that your job is way riskier than having your own business.  With any venture comes risk and overcoming risk leads to a chance of victory.  Personally, I never think of my business as being risky, I think of it as my ticket to a better life.

    2. How much money will I have to invest?

-As much or as little as you want.  Here is where most people blow it.  Must get started in an MLM/Network Marketing company and think that just because they paid their sign up money and have bought product, they are in business..Yes and no.  That just got you started.  You will now have to invest in your education, tools for your business, marketing and anything else that is associated with becoming successful in your industry.  It’s your business and your future.  Treat it like a hobby and it will pay you like one.

    3. How quickly can I make money?

    Successful People do it anyways

    Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

leapSome mornings I wake up and I dont want to go to the gym and I just want to sleep in.  Over the years, I have learned that if I compromise on one area in my life, I will do it in others so I force myself to do the things I dont want to do.

You see, that is the difference between someone who is going to achieve their goals and someone who just thinks about achieving their goals.  There have been times that I have rolled back over in the early AM.  I can never go back to sleep because I am thinking about what I am supposed to be doing.  I end up getting up and getting the job done.

I roll that over into my business.  There are many days and nights in which it would be easier to just watch TV or go out on the town.  I know, however, that if I dont do the deal every day, I will get complaisant.  That is not a place I ever want to be. I am either growing or dying and I always want to be growing.

I have noticed that people come up with all kinds of excuses as to why they are in the position they are in.  I dont buy any of them.  I know what it is like to struggle.  I also know what it is like to win.

    Memorial Day Tribute~Josh Boxer Style…

    memorial-day

For Some a Memorial Day Tribute is a Party, For others it’s a family get together, for some, its a time of reflection and for others a time of mourning.  The Question is, what is Memorial Day to you?

For me it is a time to remember the price that has been paid so that you and I can live free in America.  It’s the price that has been paid so that our children are guaranteed an education and not just any education, but the best the world has to offer.

It’s a time to celebrate.  A time to reflect on where we live and what our purpose is.  What are we doing to preserve the freedoms that we do have.  What are we doing on a daily basis to ensure that the hundreds of thousands of soldiers that have sacraficed their lives, didnt do it in vain.

It’s our turn to hold the torch as it has been passed to our generation.  flag

“Marketing Strategies Online” – How to Smoke 90% of everyone online.

    Wednesday, May 6th, 2009

gun-fightWhen figuring out your marketing strategies online, there are five rules of thumb to remember.

    • Know what your marketing like its no body’s business
    • Know where your going to market
    • Know how your going to market
    • Know who you are marketing to
    • Know when to put on the full court press

Knowing your product like the back of your hand is crutial in the market place and especially online.  When people finally get to you, you dont want to have to do a lot of explaining, but you do need to be able to answer their questions quickly and efficiently.  If your selling vitimins, you better know what’s in them. If your selling financial education, you had better know what the program consists of. Once you have gotten the educating yourself piece down, you need to create a game plan as to where your going to market online.

There is a plethora of advertising space on the web and you need to figure out where your going to get the most bang for your buck and your time.  If your a seasoned vet with a high end product, you may want to master Google PPC.  Google has a broader reach than any advertising medium for minimal cost and its laser targeted at your audience.  Yes its way better than radio, newspaper and TV.  You control the ads and the audience.  You also want to pick a free method of advertising. Whether that be article writing, squidoo lenses or video marketing, thats up to you.  You then need to learn how your going to market.

OK, So Today is the last day I will be 36

    Friday, April 24th, 2009

36My how the years click by.  It amazes me that the older I get, the quicker time moves.  I am always thinking-STOP!!!!

However, with another year past, there is another year of victorious living.  You see, tommorow I will be 37, but the kid in me remains like 19, always.  I personally dont know how people grow old.

Let me take that back, I do..People grow old because they chose to remain stagnant.  They chose to remain in place.  Folks, if your not growing, let me give you a *TIP*….Your Dying…

Studies have shown that a body in motion, stays in motion.  I have always made it a point to keep in as tip top shape as possible.  Of course I dont have the same body I did when I was 19, but I work on it = ).

So tonight I celebrate another victory of a year ALIVE. And I look forward to the next year and the year after that because I am truley alive and LIVING MY DREAM LIFE……………………………………………………..HOW ABOUT YOU???

Break Down or Break Through- How do you deal with life?

    Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009

breakdownHow do you deal with adversity when it hits?  Does it paralyze you or does it magically propel you to overcome?

    ___________________________________________________________________________________breakthrough

I had every reason in the world to put my head under a pillow and cry this past Monday.  I woke up, ready to go to the gym at 4am. Sleepy eyed, I got my gym clothes on that I had placed out the night before.

I closed the front door behind me with car key in hand and to my surprise, no car.  You got it, the car was gone, vanished, stolen in the middle of the night.  A little ball in my throat dropped to the pit of my stomach for one brief second and I caught it.  I caught myself.
