I have to be honest with you, when I first got started marketing online I thought there was some secret that was somehow being kept from me.  I thought there was that one thing out there and that if I just found it, my struggle would be over and I would become ultra successful in a matter of weeks.

I soon found out that there is no such secret and the secret was hidden within me the whole time.

What you have to realize is that when you start to have success online, people are watching you and eventually people want to know what you know.  In talking with dozens of people over the past month, I noticed one common theme.  They all told me about all the information products they had bought and were studying and couldn’t figure out why they were no more further along financially then when they first got started.

The reason?

Lack of serious action.  Massive action is the only thing that produces results.  Anything less, your kidding yourself.  So what’s the cure to buy everything-itis?  Stop buying and start doing!

You have studied enough, now its time to get uncomfortable and put everything you just studied into action.  Sure your going to mess up…..A few hundred..No, a few thousand times before you get it right.  You know what?  That is ok.

Want to double your rate of success?  Triple your rate of failure.  Yes you heard that right, triple it.  Successful people know that the more mistakes they make, they can check those off the list of things that don’t work.

If you want to be a total failure in everything you do, be real careful, don’t make mistakes and I guarantee you’ll be standing right where  you are in 5, 10 or even 20 years.

What good marketers know is that once they have sold you a product that you got massive value from, you will be back to buy the next one they put out. When you have a bunch of really good marketers putting out life changing products, they are so good at their craft that they will make you feel like you NEED this product to succeed.  The fact is, you don’t need any more courses to succeed.  You need to apply what you have already learned until you get the result you can looking for.

What you need to do is to stop planning and start doing. Stop the procrastination.   The eighth day of the week never comes. Go for it!

Growing up on the Island of Maui right on the ocean, I surfed just about every day.  Sometimes I would paddle out before school and catch a few early morning waves and as soon as I got off the bus I raced to grab my board to hit the water.

During my early teen years, it was very competative paddling out with surfers that had more experience.  There were rules to be followed in the Hawaiian waters if you didn’t want to get your lights punched out by a big hawaiian surfer.  It was all about positioning and timing.

If you dropped in on a wave, you had the right of way, so if someone dropped in behind you, they couldnt pass you on the wave until you pulled out.  I learned this the hard way an an early age and paid dearly for it. Yep, a board in my face unexpectadly.  I wiped out after dropping in on a “Moke” which is a big hawaiian, he wiped out and upon coming up, gasping for air, there was his board coming right down on my head.  Then came the “Moke”, pissed off and ready to kill me.  As I got older, I learned the way of the waters. Fast forward

Anyways, the web is not much different in a lot of aspects.  There is always going to be competition on the Internet as well as new people coming and going.  All of them trying to get the attention of all of the folks surfing the web.

When I first got started marketing online, I was so clueless.  Organic Search, PPC, SEO?  What the hell? There was a huge learning curve for me.  I knew how to type a word document, create an excel spread sheet, send an email and fill out a webform and that was the extent of it.  Pretty sad huh? Almost as sad as dropping into a 20 foot wave in 2 feet of water and losing your footing.

While some folks are playing with Paid search (PPC), others are crafting their art in the organic search arena.  That is where I play.  The competition is fierce and it is a battle to stay ahead of your most fierce competitors.

The ultimate goal is the get the attention of the end users on the search engines.  When someone does a search query for something on Google, I want to own the #1 spot on the page with my content.  I also want to have four or five other spots on that page.  It becomes quite complex fighting for these positions and you know what? I love it.

I do this using a few strategies and that is a whole different blog post.  I use Videos, Articles, Squidoo Lenses, Press Releases and a few other ninja tactics to get first page ranking.

Once you learn how to get first page rank, you can then build back links to that media to ensure that it remains highly ranked on the page.  There are other strategy’s to do this but once again, that’s like an e-book worth of information.

I was in MLM a few years back, knew nothing about Internet Marketing and was taught to make a list of everyone I knew. From my doctor, college, high school friends, family and every acquaintance I ever had. Its all about little decisions.

1. Specific training will never create the results you are seeking. You need to dig way down and gather the nuts and bolts for your journey to success.  The secret does not lie within one talk or one speach or training session, it lies deep within you.  You have the gifts and talents, now you need to recognize the potential and release it.

2. The Buck Stops here.  Take ownership of you.  Accept the responsibility of your past.  Understand that the beginning of responsibility is accepting it.  It’s not about blame, its about hope and control of your situations.

3. Always seek wisdom. Plug into a system and you plug into your future.  Rely on systems to take you to your destiny.  If your the system, you will always be working it. Make your system go to work for you.

4. I am a person of action. You and you alone are going to change your future with the cooperation of others who buy into your dream.  Grasp it with both hands and tell your feet to run with it.  Do that and you will start to attract others to your dream and they will let you lead them to the promised land.

5. I have a decided heart. You have already decided that your going to win.  A wise man once said-”A journey of a thousand miles requires a first step.” Decide that no matter what the circumstances, you are going to GO FOR IT! Your thoughts and action are always towards the future.

6. Today I will choose to be happy and have a grateful spirit. If you are not happy, sit down and write down all the things you are grateful for.  Doing this will ensure that you recognize just how blessed you are.  To many concentrate on what you dont have.  You have everything you need to succeed.  Those are the seeds that have been planted in you by GOD.

7. I am going to greet this day with a forgiving spirit. Forgive yourself folks. Decide that your going to let yourself off the hook for all the screw ups for the past. That includes other people that you have a grudge against. The past never predicts your future…You do!

Persist without exception. Failure is not an option. You decide whether your going to meander in the passing parade of humanity or whether your going to win at the game of LIFE!!

The Macdaddy Marketer

We were created to do more with our lives than most do…..

Ok. so let’s be real with eachother.  Look around you.  Most people are living in a world of defeat, tyranny and quite frankly are pretty miserable.  What happened?

Well over the years negativity sneaks in.  All of the times as a child you were told you couldnt do something. No this and No that.  Guess what?  Yep, you guessed it, most have been programmed to believe that they cant achieve the things they want most.  Pretty sad really.

But then there are those that realize the potential that is within them.  Constantly striving to do more and never letting complaicency seep in.  Those that dont need a Full 8 hours of sleep every night.

4 Hours is all you really need to function the next day.  I remember going almost a week in college during my hell week getting in my fraternity.  Bottom line is, you sleep when your dead.  To live in full victory you live like each moment could be your last and you want to make it count. While you sleep, there is someone making their dreams come true.  While you are complaining as to why you can’t, there is someone out there making something happen.

Let your dream be so big that you cant accomplish it alone.

Training is Key

Who is your mentor?  Are you getting the best network marketing training available?  Here is the fact–>Your Not!!

Here is why I say this.  Because when I first got started in this industry, I thought I had been taught by the best of the best.  I thought because my upline made close to a million dollars a year that I was receiving the best education of my life.

What I didnt know is that my upline didnt know anything about the internet and how people were exploding their network marketing businesses online.  Lets face it, you dont know what you dont know.

All I was taught was how to meet new people and develop “mini friendships”. Kind of hard to do with no credibility.

The best network marketing training will be found within systems that the top internet marketers put together.  These systems allow you to become the expert by promoting “You Inc”.  Thats right, you.

Unless people see you as a leader,they wont follow you period!  Unless you use a system in which you can brand yourself and is fully customizable, you will never succeed at the levels your upline promises you.  You cant do what they did.

Once I started studying the “Mike Dillards” and the “Jay Kubassecks” and the “Aaron Parkinsons”, I got a real picture of the real deal network marketing training. These guys spent hundreds of thousands of dollars market testing, creating the best training there was to stomp out the wanna be competition.

If you are serious about growing your online or offline business, you need a system. You need help. Stop being so stubborn and beating your head against the same wall over and over. It doesnt have to be that way.
