<p>Winning friends and influencing people has been a best selling book by Dale Carnegie for almost a century now.  It is the catalyst for all business success and the most widely read book in the network marketing industry.</p>
<p>I am going to cover five areas in which I think are crucial to anyone looking to take their game to the next level and those are: Developing trust, providing value, offering solutions, developing relationship equity and being in it for the long haul.</p>
<p><strong>Developing trust</strong></p>
<p>I have to say, there are some complete morons out there that have very selfish intentions. They could care less about people and are only looking to stuff their pockets with cash, while providing no value.  Marketers have gotten really good at tapping into peoples emotional buying habits.  While this seems great for the person ripping people off, it creates distrust and disloyalty in people which makes it difficult for folks to trust anyone these days.</p>
<p><span id="more-1056"></span></p>
<p>Trust is earned and developed over time.  It cannot be bought and can only be earned.  In fact, its a gift from one person to another.  Today, developing trust with your audience is so essential to your future, it&#8217;s like air to people. Without it, your business will shrivel up and die. You develop trust by providing value to peoples lives.</p>
<p><strong>Providing Value</strong></p>
<p>Value is one of those things that is almost invisible but still exists.  It&#8217;s making people become better than they were before they encountered you.  Your goal should be to help increase the value of others. I once heard that the greatest investment you can ever make is in people.</p>
<p>Why?  People never depreciate in value. EVER!</p>
<p>Whether its one sentence that gets someone to think in a different way that positively affects their lives or something you say to someone in conversation that causes them to feel better about themselves when leaving your presence, you have added value to that person and therefor developed some trust. When providing value, always offer solutions.</p>
<p><strong>Offering Solutions To Peoples Problems</strong></p>
<p>Be a part of the solution and not the problem.  Everyone out there is pitching something and they think that their one cheesy, get rich quick scheme is the end all solution to people&#8217;s problems.  I have seen it and heard it a million times and am sick and tired of people who have had no success whatsoever trying to tell me how they have the latest and greatest program out there that if I only brought my whole team onboard, I would make a ton of money.</p>
<p>I turn it around on folks like that pretty quickly.  People are not looking for businesses to join or to make lots of money.  People are looking for leaders to follow and hopefully become one themselves, period..Case Closed.</p>
<p>You have to have the ability to talk with people, find out what their problems are and offer a solution to their &#8220;specific problem.&#8221;  If you only have one solution in your prescription bag, your going to be very frustrated.  Having a wide range of solutions and not just a one size fits all is key.</p>
<p>Through this process of developing trust, providing value and offering solutions, you are developing relationships with people.  Yes, meaningful, valuable relationships.</p>
<p><strong>Developing relationships</strong></p>
<p>Be honest with yourself. Do you really, truly care about other people?  Do you show it in your actions?  When your out and about, whether it&#8217;s in the grocery store or gas station, do you keep your eyes peeled for that person that just needs a smile.  People are hurting out there folks and are looking for people who care about them.</p>
<p>The challenge with most people who get started marketing a business online or offline is they are self centered.  I dont know any self centered successful business people.</p>
<p>If your in this for you and your bank account, do yourself a favor and get out of whatever you are doing.  Why go through life doing something that your not passionate about?  Don&#8217;t waste your time or the souls of others as you are dealing with the most valuable commodity on earth,  People. You need to be in it for the long haul.</p>
<p><strong>Being In It For The Long Haul</strong></p>
<p>I always tell myself, &#8220;this is not what i do, it is who i am.&#8221; When you make a life, rather than a living, your on the right track.  Most people don&#8217;t know how to commit to anything.  I think the reason is, they are used to being told what to do.  I am not knocking jobs as they are what most people have, but let&#8217;s face it. How many people actually give 110% doing what they do and actually enjoy it.  How many people these days are at a company for more than 5 years?  Not too many.</p>
<p>In the network marketing industry, you have to fit your business into your life and not the other way around.  It has to become a part of you. Your mantra. Your destiny. Your Struggle and your victory.  Get started, Stay Steady and dont quit. There is no failure, there is only quit.  Failure is the teacher of all success provided you learn from your mistakes.</p>
<p>Winning friends and influencing people is the very cornerstone of any successful persons journey through life. Learn it, live it and become it.<br />
