Having a complete marketing system and funnel is what will separate you from the masses. People think that if they can just generate more leads it will cure their lack of business and this is far from the truth. There is a step by step methodology one has to follow to experience success in any business.
I call this the “Super 5″.
Whether your in direct sales, network marketing or a traditional business, you have to have a marketing system or funnel to track, manage and keep in touch with your sales pipeline. For those who use the internet, it offers a more robust platform with many more tools that the traditional paper trail that a lot of companies are still using.
The #1 thing I hear from people that I work with is ” If I just had more leads, my business would skyrocket”. Not the case and you must back up for a second. For those who have a website and are taking your marketing online, it’s traffic your missing, not leads. You have to put eyeballs onto your website. This is where marketing comes in. Whether you are using social media, Pay-Per Click, Banner Advertising or any other form of marketing, this is the first step to master. Once you have traffic then you can concentrate on what to do with the people that land on your webpage.
You must have something to offer people when they get to you. What is separating you from your competition. I always look at what the masses are doing and do the opposite. Yep, that is right, do the opposite. Why are most people failing in business, especially online? Because it’s the blind leading the blind. I look at what everyone else is doing and do something different. This will help you to stand out.
The Compelling Offer
This is where most people blow it. They get the attention of their prospect and either get the appointment or get them to their website and immediately start to throw up on them. By this I mean, talking about how good their product is and selling the features, rather than giving their prospects something to take away for free. Give people something they can use right now. Whether it’s a marketing tool or a high value solution to their problem. I like to offer either an ebook or e-video course online or a newsletter geared towards their specific industry. Know your market.
If your marketing online, which I feel most of you are that are reading this, you have to be able to capture peoples info on your web page. If your simply driving traffic to your business site and don’t have a compelling offer for people (Not your main products), your missing out big-time.
Do you want to sell to people once or over and over again? To market to people and gain their trust, you must have an irresistible offer, capture at least their name and number so you can keep in touch with them. If your just hoping people purchase your product or service when they get to your webpage or place of business, you might want to check your strategy.
Enrolling People Into your Primary Business or Closing The Sale.
Once you have people’s trust and they feel as if you offer them enough value, they will buy your product or service, join your business and have no resistance when future offers from you come their way. Sometimes people will buy now and others will have to simmer. All I have to say is thank god for auto-responders. All top marketers and sales people use them to keep adding value to their customer base.
In closing, the five steps are, having a marketing system, generating traffic, generating leads, having an irresistible offer and closing the sale.
