Your either going to make excuses or make things happen, you can’t do both. After talking to hundreds, maybe thousands of people at this point about getting started in business, the #1 excuse is, I don’t have the money.
Let me tell you what I think about that statement. It’s B.S.
Everyone has money. It’s what they do with their money that causes them to think they don’t have any. There comes a point in one’s life where you have to take what I like to call:
It’s taking an inventory of the things you are spending your money on that are not producing anything for you.
If you tell me you have no money to start a business on a shoe string budget and you have fricking Cable or Satellite TV, your faking yourself out.
If you tell me you have no money and you have a cell phone bill that runs in the hundreds every month, you’re lying.
If you’re eating out 2-3 times a week at a fast food restaurant or where ever, you can’t tell me you have no money.
If you are paying for a gym membership, Netflix membership and rent 4 to 5 movies at blockbuster every week, don’t fricking tell me you have no money?
You see, when I first got started in this industry I was living paycheck to paycheck. I had no clue how I was going to come up with my $500-$600 auto ship every month as well as other marketing expenses.
You know what? I figured it out. I cut out cable television. I stopped eating steak and high end foods. I stopped dining out, for a period of time. I cut out all of the things I was spending money on so that I could take that money and SOW it into my business.
You see folks. Successful people have a “figure it out mentality”.
They don’t look at how big the challenge is and say it’s impossible. They find ways to make things happen no matter what the circumstances.
It’s not circumstances that hold people back, its how they see them and how they feel about them.
For all of those people out there who are sitting back waiting for something good to happen in their life, I have news for you, “The Cavalry is Not Coming”. There is no easy way to success. It takes hard work, investment of your time, money and resources.
If you’re struggling to make ends meet every month, get up off the couch and learn a new skill set. If you have access to a computer, there is no excuse as to why you can’t create some additional income streams.
Get off the couch. Turn off the T.V., Nintendo 64, X-Box and every other distraction that is keeping you from living the life you want to live.
If you’re feeling sorry for yourself, get over it.
If you’re going through a hard time in your life, join the troops, a lot of people are. Get over it and get back on the ship that’s going where you want to go.
Here’s one of my favorite sayings. “If it’s to be, it’s up to me!”
Let’s make it happen,
