Random Acts of Kindness

Random acts of kindnessSo yesterday I was dropping off my daughter Hannah’s running shoes which she left behind before she got on the bus.  On the way home, I noticed that one of the signs outside of a local eatery here in town was hanging half down and it’s the only sign visible for this restaurant on the side of the building facing the road.

Being that I just ate there last week with my wife and the owner talked with us for at least a 1/2 hour while we ate our lunch, I felt a connection to the place.  Rather then just letting it go, I picked up my phone, used Siri and called the restaurant and let them know that their sign needed to be fixed.

Most people wouldn’t have thought twice about going on with their day, however, something inside of me, wanted to help.

What would you have done?

Kept going? or taken a minute out of your day to help a local business out?

I’m not bragging or putting myself on a platform.  I was just being who I really am.  Deep down inside, we were all designed to be servants of some sort.  Jesus talked about it often and was selfless in his journey through life.  If you don’t believe in Jesus, that’s cool.  I do and I try my best to model my life after his to the best of my ability.

What have you done today to make the world a better place?  What kind of legacy are you going to leave on this earth when your time has come?  Will your name be remembered?  If so, for what?

Make it a great day.
