5 Biggest Social Media Marketing Mistakes
Sunday, August 29th, 2010We all are guilty of these 5 no no’s when it comes to social media marketing. There is a right way to do it and a very wrong way. These 5 areas are crucial to your social media success or failure.
Social Media Marketing Mistake #1 – Pitching or Selling Your Product, Service or Business.
The social networks are a place to develop relationships with people, not to pitch your business. The biggest mistake I see people doing, especially on Facebook is presenting their product or service thinking that they are delivering value. That’s totally wrong.

Friday, August 27th, 2010While there are many people who have not figured out how to make social media work for their business, there are others that are absolutely “KILLING IT” with social media.

Writers Block | What to do when writers block hits you like a ton of bricks.
Wednesday, August 25th, 2010I have to admit, writing is not something that comes naturally to me. When I first started blogging, I had a lot of doubt and uncertainty as to whether people would like or dislike what I wrote. After some time I realized that it didn’t matter. Some people would like what I had to say and others might not.
A valuable lesson was learned at that moment in time. I could not go through life trying to please everyone!
When I first got started marketing online, I wrote a whole bunch. I wrote tons of articles and blasted them all over the Internet. Every once in a while I would get stuck on what to write about next.

5 Reasons Why Traditional Franchises Are Riskier Than an Internet Business
Tuesday, August 24th, 2010
I thought about opening my own franchise or brick and mortar business years ago and decided against it for several reasons. I lacked upfront capital, I Knew I needed working capital to get me through the first year of business and it was going to take a long time to get a return on my investment. I knew that the business would run me rather than me running the business and I did not want to take the risk of changing market trends with that large of a financial investment.
While I am not at all afraid of risk, I believe in calculated risk taking.
Upfront Capital

How To Build A Network Marketing Business On A Shoe String Budget.
Thursday, August 19th, 2010I got an email yesterday from a guy named Dave and it consisted of just a simple sentence. “Josh, I am homeless and have no money, so with that said, how can you help me make money online?”
I get emails like this every once in a while and while I almost feel sorry, I don’t.
First, If Dave is homeless, how is he emailing me? The public library? Does he have his own computer and internet connection or perhaps he is using Free Wi-Fi. Who knows?

How To Provide Value To The World Around You.
Wednesday, August 4th, 2010
When I first got started in this industry nearly 6 years ago, I was with a very well known MLM company with over 1 million products and services offered. I was taught to build a list of everyone I have ever known and to call those people utilizing my non-existent phone skills or a 3-way with my up line.
That phone weighed 100 pounds. I was fearful of what my friends and family would think of me. I had no success other than rising to the position of a GM in the hotel industry and didn’t think I would be taken seriously.
Needless to say, I sponsored 5 people out of a list of about 300 that I had put together.

What Do Reality TV and Marketing Have In Common?
Monday, July 12th, 2010
Over the past decade, Reality TV has ABSOLUTELY blown up. I mean seriously. People fricking love it.
Why?
It’s entertaining, that’s why.
I think a lot of marketers out there have no clue what the frick they are doing. People don’t care about buying your products or services until you have filled an empty void within them and that is the honest truth.
Don’t fool yourself into thinking that you have the latest and greatest and that everyone just has to have what you have to offer.
Want to sell alot of something?
