Getting Past The Learning Curve In Internet Marketing.

It was the year 2008 and I had been in a traditional MLM company for 4-1/2 years, building it the old school way. Back in 2006 I had purchased Mike Dillards Magnetic Sponsoring and at the time it was way over my head.

I had no idea how to put the systems he was talking about into place, nor did I know anything about Internet Marketing, however, the information planted in MS was revelation knowledge to me.  I was so darn excited and relieved that I was not the only one that went through the issues that most network marketers deal with.

With more network marketers than ever joining the industry, the new people are scrambling to find out what really works and how to launch their new venture off on the right foot. I have to be honest, when I first got started with this whole online marketing I was a little overwhelmed by all of the moving parts that had to be in place for me to even make a dent in what I was doing.

I had to learn how to put up a blog, how to get setup on the big social networks, how pay per click worked, what SEO was all about and many other things. Yes I was overwhelmed, but I realized that was a good thing. It caused me to dig deep within myself and realize just what I was capable of accomplishing.

How Network Marketing Has Changed The World.

Today there are over 60 million people around the globe in the network marketing industry. Why?  Because it has offered people hope, a future and the ability to dream again.

Somewhere along the way people have forgotten about the things that are most important to them and have traded those things in for what I like to call “The Big Lie”.  The big lie is taught from a very young age.  Go to school, get an education and go to work for a large corporation. Then work your ass off for the next 50 years and you should have enough to retire comfortably.  How many people do you know that this has happened for?

If you have been in the workforce for any number of years, you know how it gets.  Your company wants you to do more work for the same pay.  Eventually people lose hope for a better future and after a number of years of the same old, in the same position, looking forward to their 2-4 weeks of vacation every year with a 3-5% increase in pay.  What a joke.

I am not down on jobs, I am down on corporations keeping their board of directors pockets fat while the very people who make everything happen on the front lines are losing their homes, cars and marriages.

I was about to call it a night and retire to the couch to watch the ladder part of a House episode and it hit me like a ton of bricks.  ” I have so much more to do tonight, yet am so tired”, I thought to myself.  So what is keeping me here, writing this to you?  Well, lets just say that I know my team is also awake plugging away at making this world, somehow, a better place.

The Most Fantastic Network Marketer Ever To Walk The Earth.

Network Marketing has been around since the beginning of time……..

When you think of the greatest network marketer of all time, who comes to mind? Jim Rohn?  Dexter Yager? Larry Winters or Randy Gage?

For me, it’s got to be Jesus Christ. You may be scratching your head thinking I have gone off my rocker but hold on a sec and let me go deeper.  Jesus walked the earth over 2000 years ago.  His message was the Gospel “The Good News”. That was his product line (per say). He had twelve disciples in which he commanded to go out into the world and spread the word of the Gospel.

Now you catch my drift.  The Gospel spread all over earth and nearly 2/3 of the planet know of him and his teachings.  It all started with the twelve.  The message remains unscathed and the product still pure.  Jesus has the largest down line known to man.

The reality is anyone who decides they want to change their life can.

The most important part of winning at anything is making a quality decision.  It all starts with a decision backed with a commitment. You must decide what you want and when you want it and make up your mind that you won’t quit on yourself. Staying consistent and persistent is one of the biggest reasons why people either succeed or don’t and then working on yourself more than your business.  Here I will go over each of these “most important” parts of being successful in network marketing.

Everything you do and every action in life starts with a decision to do something.  In the network marketing world, it’s the decision to get started.  What I have noticed over the years is that people are afraid of making a decision.  Let me relate this to you in the simplest form.  How many times have you been out on a dinner date with your friend or significant other and asked ” What are you going to have?” Most will say, “I don’t know, what are you going to have?”  You see, that may not seem like much, however, that is indecisiveness at its finest.

It’s Not What You Can Do, It’s What You Can Duplicate.

If you rely on only what you can produce in a day’s work, you are a slave to yourself as well as your company.

I know…That is a broad and bold statement but be assured I will back it up with some solid content.   It’s like this, most people got very comfortable in their posh comfortable jobs and thought they had it made for the rest of their lives working for company xyz.  They relied on what they could produce on a daily basis at their place of work, with no diversification.  So when the layoff’s came, and are still coming, folks have not diversified their income.

What do I mean by diversify?  Sure most people have a 401K which is now more like a 101K and maybe they had a few real estate investments, but what happened to those?  They crashed. Why?  Because it’s all tied to what happens on wall street.  People followed what everyone else was doing.  One thing I learned long ago was only to take advice from people who were where I wanted to be in life.

Want to know what most folks do?  They take advice from people who are where they are in life.  For example, I would be that in your neighborhood your neighbors make within $10k of what you make.  Your association with those people as great of folks as they may be, it keeping you where you are financially.

Search Engines Make A Living On Their Top Secret Algorithms.

No one knows for sure exactly how the algorithms work, not even Google employees.  This is how they keep an edge on their niche market.

Sure there is a lot of educated speculation and theory, however, it still remains a crap shoot for the most part.  Search Engine algorithms are constantly changing.  Some fundamentals remain constant and others are continually tweaked.
