The Long Road To Success.

What does it mean to you?

Is it a destination?  A journey? A Goal for you? or……..

Are you just content putting one foot in front of the other day after day, year after year for the rest of your life.

Being successful means different things to different people.  I think that the definition of success is this:

“The pursuit of a worthwhile endeavor.”

Let’s face it.  If you want to become successful at anything in life, you have to pour yourself into what your doing.  It’s not going to come through hoping or by chance or luck.

Today more then ever, we live in a bigtime entitlement world in which we expect that we are owed something in life.  The fact is, we aren’t owed JACK SQUAT!

Your going to have to earn everything you have and not only that, you’ll have to work to keep it.

What I have seen is that people put up a huge front in today’s day and time.  They max out their credit to aquire material things.  Nice cars, huge homes, luxury vacations, etc.

When the cash flow stops due to layoffs, teams falling apart or businesses not making it, guess what?  You stand to lose everything because your debt payments don’t stop when your cash flow does.

A great rule of thumb is this:

If you can’t afford to pay cash for something, you don’t deserve to have it.  In fact, you don’t own it if your financing it, the bank does.

Some have dug such a whole for themselves that they can’t even get out of the mess they have made due to lack of education.

Good news!

You can if you want to, you just have to downgrade your lifestyle..  For a while at least.

You are going to have to learn how to diversify your income.  Having just one stream of income is dangerous.

Having multiple streams of income ensures that if one stops coming in, you have others to replace it or back it up.

Some due this through having an internet business, traditional business, side jobs or whatever.

Your going to have to work your butt off for a long time, have sleepless nights, work longer days and take less time off to have everything you want in life.

No one said it was going to be easy.

You have to know what you want and go after it like your life depends on it.  Most don’t because they are “comfortable.”

Nothing great ever happens in your comfort zone!
