The Fabric Of A Champion
Champions are never born, they are made. Through persistent and consistent effort, champions perfect the craft of their trade. There are certain characteristics that define a winner and I will describe them here.
They are Decisive
Compromise is never an option. Champions are quick to make decisions and very slow to change them.
They are People of Character
Who are you when no one is looking? Are you the same person ALL of the time or do you put on different hats depending on who you are with? A winner will always treat people with respect and dignity. You can always count on a champion to be there in the heat of the battle. They have a backbone, not a wishbone.
Champions Focus
A winner knows exactly how to get distractions out of their life and avoid temptations. They stay extremely focused on their dreams goals and commitments. One of the most important things a winner will focus on is priorities and goals. Everything else gets put on the backburner.
They are People of Action
Despite fatigue and inconvenience a champion presses ahead unaware of obstacles that may stand in their way.
Champions Never Quit
You will never see a winner backing off of their dreams, goals and aspirations. Champions get the job done no matter what the circumstances.
They are People of Faith
Champions believe in “the unseen”. They can see the end outcome in their minds eye and know they have won prior to the start of their endeavor. Faith is the confident belief in the truth, value or trustworthiness of a person, idea or thing. It is the belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence of the things not seen.
As you can see, it takes dedication to become a champion. It requires self mastery. Once you master yourself, you can then master everything else that comes your way in life. Do the above characteristics describe you? If not, are you taking an inventory of the things you could change to encompass these characteristics into your life?
Be a Champion in every part of your life. When it’s all said and done and you are lying down in your last days, will the lord say to you, “Well done good and faithful servant?” or “Why did you waste away your life?” Puts things into a whole new perspective doesn’t it?

Hi Josh, I love your article and believe that everyone is a champion. Taking a look at who you surround yourself with will make a difference in how the champion in you will shine.
