How To Know If What You’re Doing In Life Is Challenging Enough For You.

Having been in the hospitality industry, prior to getting involved with online marketing, I know what it’s like to be on my feet all day, hair on fire, running a team of 50-100 people, trying to make my monthly numbers, please my boss and provide for my family.

I have always been a very high energy kind of guy and thus attracted those kind of people into my life and looked for those kind of people to work with as well.

If you have ever been to a banquet or large production gathering with food and beverage, then you know it’s a huge challenge keeping up with all the moving parts there.

I can tell you that I thrived on being busy, running a tight ship, keeping people motivated and happy with their positions. When you’re dealing with a large team, you not only have to juggle them, but their family issues as well.  You become the go to guy for everything.  This was great.. For a while.. Until I realized that I was so zapped at the end of the day, I had little positive energy left for my own family when I got home.

That’s when I realized that I needed a change.

I think a lot of people stick with careers because they are comfortable. Quite honestly that is  a very dangerous place to be.  When you’re comfortable, you’re not growing and if you’re not growing, your actually dying.

There is never reward without risk and if you’re in a position in which your unhappy and are just sticking around for that “paycheck”, you must realize, that is false security.

Anytime you have someone else signing your check, you are so not in control of your future.

My recommendation?  Learn a new skill set in your part time.

Set yourself apart from what everyone else is doing.  Be different and go out on a limb.

Remember all of those high aspirations you had when you were a kid and somehow they got farther and farther away from you as life set its claws into you and took hold?  Here is what I have to say about that…….

“It’s never too late to become the person you were meant to be.”

Every day you wake up, you have the opportunity to press the restart button.

If you’re no longer being challenged in your current endeavor, perhaps it’s time for change.

Start being the victor in your life rather than the victim. Reach deep down inside of yourself and manifest your full potential.  Perhaps you need someone to see that full potential in you and bring it out.

Maybe it’s time to stop hoping and start making things happen rather than waiting for them to happen.  You are capable of doing more than what you’re doing in your life, we all are.  Now just go and do it!
