He is the top paid Internet Marketer on the planet, creator of Mass Control, The Four Day Cash Machine and one of the most brilliant guys I know. I woke up this morning, checked my email box and poof, an email from Frank with one of the most stellar videos I think I have ever seen put together.

When Frank talks about marketing, I shut up, stop whatever I am doing and listen. I mean come on, the guy has made as much as $27 million in a year online and just last year he pulled in about $9 million in revenue on 1 product. Yep, just one!

A Different World

We are living in a world that is constantly changing, yet so many people refuse to adjust and are waiting for things to go back to “normal”.  I have a question to ask.  What is normal?  Are you waiting for the economy to shape up so that you can either get a job or get a better job or hoping that your commissioned sales job picks up to where it was two years ago?

So many americans are in a holding pattern waiting for something to happen.  This is the worst place you can be.  You either growing or dying or your either moving forward, backwards or no where at all.

Is that you? Are you just hoping good things are going to happen or are you making things happen.

You see, this is not the same world as it was five or even ten years ago, yet so many folks are waiting for things to return to the way they were.  While you sit and wait, others have moved to where the opportunity lies rather than waiting for the opportunity to knock on their front door. The so called “recession” has paralyzed folks.

Modern Day Slavery

I hate to break it to you, but working for large corporations is not where security is anymore.  Sure there are a few honest company’s out there that really care about their people, but lets be real. When companies need to cut expenses, they cut employees.  Employee = Liability.  When are people going to realize this?  Anytime someone else is signing you check, your at their mercy.  Your not at all in control. In fact your being controlled.

You would think that people would be up in arms about it, fighting tooth and nail for their freedom.  But, nope. For most it’s ho-dee-dum…. Two steps forward, two steps back and going absolutely no where.

So what is the solution to this slavery and mayhem?  Take control over your financial future and stop making excuses as to why you can’t succeed at whatever you put your mind to.  Stop blaming others for the position your in.  The good news is, if you got yourself into a jam you can surely get yourself out.

Take Charge

It’s called taking responsibility for your life.  While wall street and corporations fumble, there are hundreds of thousands who have turned to the internet to design their own ticket.  Sure you have to learn some new skills.  Of course your going to have to invest in some tools, training and systems.  Don’t people pay tens of thousands to universities across the world for an education and don’t blink an eye?

Why is it that people scoff at spending money on Internet education products? Lack of trust? Skepticism?

Let me give you a clue. THERE IS NO, NOR HAS THERE EVER BEEN A RECESSION ON THE INTERNET.  Wake up folks.  Sure it’s not for everyone, but neither is being financially independent.  Sure there are scam artists out there so be careful where you get your information from and where you invest your money.

Fear and Doubt Are Keeping You Broke.

But do me a favor, stop being so dam skeptical.  It’s keeping you broke and will keep your kids and their kids broke for generations to come if you don’t change the way you think and change the things you do.

Let’s be real with each other.  How many hours do you spend a week doing things that produce absolutely nothing, that you could take and turn into something? Most likely a lot.

Go Get It

You deserve a better life than where your at.  Your family deserves it. Go get it. Today is the day you promised yourself you were going to do the things you promised yourself you would do the day before. Stop procrastinating and start Producing. Network Marketing is not what it was ten years ago.  Quite frankly it’s not what is was five years ago.  I am going to go over the pros and cons of building your business online vs. offline and you can make your own determination of what makes more sense to you.

After doing both, I know the answer.  You will have to make the determination for yourself, but I think once your done, you will see things in a whole new light.

Getting Leads

Offline – You are going to build your list manually through making lists of friends and family, talking to strangers in malls, stores, Barnes and Noble, gas stations, etc. This works awesome if your a type “A” personality. Most people don’t. This takes a lot of time.

Online – Traffic is automatic, once it’s built.  Your going to build your list online through a lead capture page or “squeeze page”.

Connecting With Leads

Offline – You have to physically call every one of your leads.

Online – Your going to use an email auto-responder in which your going to add value to them.  You are also going to call your leads, but by the time you call them, they know who you are and are interested in your offer.  After all, they opted in for more information.  Your not having to bring them up to speed like you would in an offline scenario.  Your system does the sifting and sorting for you so all your left with is a qualified lead.

Business Presentation

Offline – You have to physically show up to show the plan. I personally remember when I first got started in network marketing showing 1 hour plans.  Can you imagine? And I drove all over my state doing it, sometimes out of state. WASTE OF TIME. Why? Because they were not pre-qualified and I was just using the plan as a filter to check their interest.

Online – How about a webinar or video doing the presentation.  How about a PowerPoint presentation or a Bamboo drawing session to explain your business plan online?  You can do it from the comfort of your own home.

Follow Up

Offline – This sometimes can be done on the phone, but most of the time it’s in person. Once again, leaving your home, spending precious time away from your family.

Online – We use email, the phone, Skype and other online communications.

Sign Up

Offline – Traditionally to sign someone up your going to have to give them a number or a specific website to send them to.  You have to guide them through the process.

Online – Your sales funnel will sell almost everything for you if it is set up correctly.  Sign-ups are automatic and there is little effort involved.

Training

Offline – You have to meet weekly in hotels, homes, etc. to do training with your team.

Online – You can automate your training through videos and teleconferences.

Conclusion Offline

Pros: Offline business building in the network marketing industry is more stable and you can create real long term relationships with people.

Cons: Very time intensive and it is limited to what you can do on a daily basis.  It’s solely up to you.

Conclusion Online

Pros: You can reach way more people in a shorter period of time.

Cons: Will dissipate if you don’t build relationships

As you can see, there are pros and cons to both ways of building your network marketing business. There is no right way or wrong way, there is just quick and slow.  With that said, how long do you want to wait to build your business.  Are you on the 6-12 month plan or the 3-5 year plan?

It was the year 2008 and I had been in a traditional MLM company for 4-1/2 years, building it the old school way. Back in 2006 I had purchased Mike Dillards Magnetic Sponsoring and at the time it was way over my head.

I had no idea how to put the systems he was talking about into place, nor did I know anything about Internet Marketing, however, the information planted in MS was revelation knowledge to me.  I was so darn excited and relieved that I was not the only one that went through the issues that most network marketers deal with.

Timing is everything

I really believe that god hands you things as he sees that you are fit to handle them.  It’s all about his timing not mine.  Toward the end of 2008 I was frustrated.  I had built several small organizations in my MLM company at that time and each time I thought I had traction and was growing, my group fell apart like an old Hyundai.  4-1/2 years and nothing to show for it other than the awesome education I had received through dozens of weekend seminars, one on one coaching and weekly hotel meeting trainings.

I knew that there was a better way of building a network marketing business and I also knew that the Internet was the place to do it, however I could not put the pieces together that were necessary to make a move forward online.

Then, a series of circumstances came forth.  I re-read Magnetic Sponsoring, found some very successful Internet Marketers and connected with them and started the process of branding and positioning myself online.

My Blog

The first step in having an online presence is having a blog or a “hub”.  Somewhere where I can write about my thoughts, offer some training of all the things I learned or am learning and a place in which people can come to see what I am all about.

I started out with a Blogger Blog and actually had several.  I got comfortable with blogging and wanted to take it to the next level so I hired someone to build me a professional Wordpress blog with all of the bells and whistles.

Since it’s creation it has changed and morphed into what it is today.  I am going to change the theme and look again in just a few weeks.  Why?  Because I am changing.

My blog is an extension of me.  It’s a place in which I can be real with people, offer advise, exchange information and learn more about my audience.  It is the first step in really positioning yourself for success online so don’t skimp out on it. I have spent thousands of dollars on my blog, building backlinks, graphics, etc..  Do you have to do the same?  All depends on how much knowledge you have about building blogs.

Continuing Education

After leaving my traditional MLM company and hooking up with an online business model in the top tier direct sales industry, I realized I had a lot to learn, so I dug in and spent a lot of time learning the basics.  Video Marketing, Article Writing, Learning how to write a press release, Pay-Per-Click Advertising, Banner Advertising, etc.  I probably learned about 20 ways to market online through the program and community that I belong to.  What I realized is that the learning never stops.  It’s ongoing and constantly changing because the Internet is constantly changing.

Making Things Happen

With all the hype on the Internet and false income claims people make, people have this notion that it’s easy to make money online.  It is, once you learn how to market, but a struggle all the way up to that point.  Nothing worth having is going to come easy.  There is no easy money on the Internet.  If your going to make it online, your going to invest money to make money, period.  Like everywhere else, there is no free ride.

Massive action and persistent and consistent effort is the only thing that is going to propel you to any substantial income online.  You have to be an action oriented and laser focused person to become a top internet marketer.  You have to be willing to invest in courses, systems and anything necessary to bridge the gap that exists between you and your goals.  Are you going to blow some money in the wrong places?  Yep. It is all part of the learning process.  Don’t beat yourself up over it, just keep it going until you get what you want out of it or until you meet your goals face to face.

In Conclusion

Just in the past year alone I have learned a ton and got the equivalent of an associates degree in Internet Marketing.  I am currently working on my bachelors (sort of speak) and then onto my masters.  Just like everything else, it has required many hours of study and financial resources to keep everything going.

Winners do whatever it takes to make their dreams and goals a reality.  Losers make excuses as to why things have not gone their way and play the blame game.

Where is the individuality?

Take a look around you.  You are influenced (Programmed) by everything you see, hear, touch and smell.  When you walk by someone with some great smelling cologne or perfume, you want to know what it is so that you can have it too.  When your neighbors by a new car, it makes you want one.  When they get a brand new grill out back, you want to know what brand it is.  From jewelry, to the latest gadgets, most people are just trying to keep up with “The Jones’s.”

The Biggest Problem

Here is what I know.  Most Americans debt to income ratio is way out of wack.  Why is this? Mostly lack of education when it comes to finances as well as social pressure to try and impress people.  Having social status has crippled people financially.

How many people do you know that live well beyond their means?  How many families have two car payments?  It’s ridiculous.  Only now are we seeing it hit home.  People who should have never gotten a line of credit were issued credit years back and now with the country’s financial crisis, layoffs have caused an all time high of defaults on those loans to those banks which almost caused a near financial melt down in our country.

It’s not all about the greedy banks, but consumer greed as well.

We Live In a Different World.

The old school model of going to school, getting an education and going to work for a large corporation is gone, done and history.  Getting a college education has nothing to do with your chances of making money and getting a great job in today’s economy.  It all has to do with experience, period.

Don’t get me wrong, I am not down on education, in fact I highly endorse it.  What I do have a problem with is the naive people who are going back to school for their masters degrees and doctorates only to find out that there are no jobs when they get out.  The promise of higher pay because of university “papers” is now crushed because corporations are not paying more money for higher education.

What people don’t realize is that employees are liabilities to the company.  When companies need to lower their liabilities, people are the first to go, period.   It’s happened dozens of times over the past few decades with more to come.

How To Separate Yourself From The Crowd.

The only place that I have seen that has not been affected by the economic downturn is the Internet.  It has withstood the test of time, other than the dot.com crash of the 1990’s, which was just stupid.

It’s the only medium in which you can conduct commerce anywhere in the world, reach billions of people and communicate in a split second with people thousands of miles away.

The sad fact is, most people (Americans), have not the slightest clue on how to monetize the Internet to their benefit.  For most, they just play on Twitter, Myspace, Facebook and Google.

The greatest thing you could possibly do right now is to learn how to market products online.  Even if you dont have a product, there are thousands of companies that do and have affiliate programs set up in a way so that you can share in the profits, when ever you have sold something of theirs.

Why not have a dozen affiliate products to promote online.  After all, isn’t twelve streams of income better than one?

These are skills that once learned, can produce an absolute fortune for people.  Chances are, if your reading this, you probably won’t take any action on it.  That’s just the way people are but that’s OK. More for me and my partners.

Choosing Your Marketing Strategy

There are many ways to market your self online. You can blog, write articles, make content rich videos, making training tutorials on things you’ve learned, Pay Per Click, Banner Advertising, and the list goes on. What you want to do is master one area of marketing that you’re comfortable with and that gets you results.

I have to be honest with you. I initially tried about twenty different types of online marketing when I first got started. I realized through the process that I couldn’t possibly become successful or gain any leverage by using all of them at once. There just was not enough time in the day to do all of them in any way that I could be productive and not all over the place.

I chose four. Blogging, Video Marketing, Article Writing and Pay Per Click Advertising. These are the ones that have produced the best results for me over the course of time. Will they work for you? Only you can answer that question.

Getting Busy

I see a lot of people getting paralysis by analysis when first getting started. Don’t feel like you have to read every e-book, go through every course, etc… before getting started with your marketing. You have to realize that there are only two things that make you money in this industry. The first is marketing and the second is talking to people. Marketing will attract those people to you, and then you have to learn how to “Connect” with people.

Stop checking results on an hourly basis. Just get to work and become production oriented, not results oriented. Take the emotion out of what you are doing and everything else will fall into place. Emotion is what blows people out of business. Every no they get puts them one step closer to quitting. You have to be a tough, productive, confident and decisive person in this business or you will never make it.

Make it happen

There are three types of people.  People who watch things happen, make things happen or those that say “what happened?” . How about making things happen. Decide that you’re going to do something great and don’t stop until you achieve your desired results.
Internet marketing is not for everyone but is for anyone who wants to take charge of their financial future and learn where the money is today. There has never been a recession on the internet.

Hope

Somewhere along the way people have forgotten about the things that are most important to them and have traded those things in for what I like to call “The Big Lie”.  The big lie is taught from a very young age.  Go to school, get an education and go to work for a large corporation. Then work your ass off for the next 50 years and you should have enough to retire comfortably.  How many people do you know that this has happened for?

If you have been in the workforce for any number of years, you know how it gets.  Your company wants you to do more work for the same pay.  Eventually people lose hope for a better future and after a number of years of the same old, in the same position, looking forward to their 2-4 weeks of vacation every year with a 3-5% increase in pay.  What a joke.

I am not down on jobs, I am down on corporations keeping their board of directors pockets fat while the very people who make everything happen on the front lines are losing their homes, cars and marriages.

There is no leverage when you have someone else signing your paycheck.  I think that is why people are drawn to the network marketing industry.   For the doubter who reads this, here is what I have to say, “Are you calling 60 million people idiots?”  Network marketing is often stereotyped because you knew someone who knew someone who never made any money.  What about me?  What about the thousand plus people I personally know that are making money in the industry?

Are we lucky?  Did we get in at the top of the pyramid?  I almost have to laugh at some of the things I hear sometimes.

Let me just tell you. When you are limited to what you can create in a 24 hour period, you are limited!  Every successful person as well as company has learned time compounding and how to burst past the 24 hour day through leveraging the efforts of other people. A team if you will.  The only difference is, when your working for someone elses team (A corporation), you are doing all the work and they are making all of the money. There is no hope there.

Your Future

For those serious about creating a future for themselves, network marketing provides an even playing ground for everyone.  There is no luck, there is only desire backed by lots of action and education.  The old school model of creating a future by going to school and educating yourself on how to become an employee is broke.  People go down that route because they are conditioned to want other people telling them what to do for a paycheck.  It’s comfortable.

Folks these days play it safe rather than take risk.  Nothing good ever comes about without risk.  Let me ask you if there is any risk in the person that clocks in and out or is on a salary and has to report to work.  Not much.  Now lets take a look at a real estate agent who works solely on commissions.  A little riskier right?  It’s the same thing in network marketing except you get to build a team of people you want to work with.  You get to create your own mastermind group of people who are sold out to their future instead of someone elses.

The Dream

Everyone has big dreams, however, somewhere along the way the dreams seem to get farther away from people and they end up settling for a life they were not supposed to be living.  They get caught up in the two steps forward and two steps back syndrome.  Why is it that people cant get ahead of living paycheck to paycheck.  Well, if your only getting a 2-5% pay increase and inflation is at 4% every year, some if not most people take a paycut.  Do that for 10 years and add in high interest credit cards, car payments with interest and cost of living increases and you have a dream stealer.

No one wants to talk about it and most ignore it which is why there are so many people in financial bondage.  I am here to tell you that it’s not too late.  Network marketing requires marketing.  Today, with the power of the internet as well as some super sharp people out there who are eager, willing and looking for something different to do with their lives are waiting for you to offer them an opportunity to make their dreams come true.  Is it easy?  Nope, that is why so few make it. But for those who treat this like a business and not a hobby and for those who stick with it, dreams become a reality.

You always want to look your best.  When you look good, you feel good.  There are certain times of the day in which your more creative than others so when those times arise, you want to have your game face and game jacket on so you can act on your inspiration.  When you don’t look good, you probably don’t feel like your at the top of your game, which will become the excuse you will use not to make any videos.  If you want people to take you serious, LOOK  YOUR BEST!

Video Marketing Secret #2

This is called The “Hollywood Secret”.  You want to try to change your camera angle every seven seconds.  When you have motion and adventure, your videos will “click” with your audience.  How many videos do you see where folks are stationary saying the same old thing, you have heard a million times, with the same old background of some plaques they had one back in highschool.

You want to aim for a ratio of two webcam videos per 1 “action” video.

You want to create unanswered questions or expectations that will be answered throughout the video.  Create curiosity early on in the video to keep people around.  Give them a taste of what is to come later in the video.

Pay attention to the speed and pitch as which your talking.  You want to talk quickly but not hurried.  Think of a really good song and try to get your speaking to flow like it.  Be clear, concise and to the point, but be natural about it.

Generating leads in your network marketing business is crucial to your long term success in the industry or any industry for that matter.

Over the years you probably have done some pretty crazy things to generate leads.  Most likely you have done everything from cold calling people in the phone book, leaving business cards in the self help books in the local bookstore, engaging in conversations with anyone with a heartbeat, attending every community social gathering, etc…etc…

While some of those methods might have worked, I am sure it was always short term and you found yourself having to consistently do the work to keep the leads coming in.  Over the course of time, it gets cumbersome and something has got to give.

It wasn’t until I learned how to leverage systems that allowed me to multiply my efforts, that I saw a huge change in my productivity as well as growth in business.

One of the things I realized is that I wasted a lot of time talking to people that I had no business talking to about business.  I realized that if I was going to move ahead in business, I would have to have a system in place to pre-qualify my prospects before I ever talked to them.  This is called sifting and sorting.

I also found out that all of the top earners in the network marketing/internet marketing industry used a funded proposal funnel system to monetize their efforts.  This means that when someone drops into your sales funnel, you have numerous opportunity’s to offer something of value to them before they leave. This is done through your auto-responders as well as phone conversations and connecting with people.

Some people think that just because they have a online lead generation system in place, they no longer have to pick up the phone and connect with people.  WRONG! You will always have to talk to people, always. It’s the glue that holds things together.

If your trying to convince people that “your business is the best” or “your product rocks everything else out there”, your in for a rude awakening.  It’s not one size fits all.  People are looking for solutions to their problems and if you only have one solution, your going to be a very frustrated marketer.

Think of yourself as a doctor and you have patients coming to you with an ailment that needs a prescription of some sort.  If it your duty to diagnose your patients and then have the best solution to fix their specific problem.  You can only find these things out by connecting with people on their level.  Forget about what you want and start thinking about what other people need.

While lead generation systems increase productivity, understand that they are only another tool. You still have to work.  Whether your using Pay Per Click, Blogging, Banner advertising, Article Writing, Video Marketing or Press Releases, you still have to be able to connect with your audience in a way that your providing value and not merely pushing a product or service.  You have to understand that your not dealing with machines, your dealing with peoples lives.

Increasing your own value to society is one of the secrets of the industry. You have to connect before you pull.  This is where the attraction marketing comes into play.  If you have two magnets and you put the polar opposites near each other, you are going to repel them from each other.  Flip one of them around and they will draw themselves together and at that point you can pull.

I think there are certain fundamentals that drive people to become who they were meant to be.  Some folks recognize these and others can go a whole lifetime and not get it.  Four areas I would like to touch on are passion, purpose, desire and fulfillment.

Passion

Passion is one of those things that most people forget about after their first love.  To be passionate about something or someone is to have a burning feeling inside of you. It’s a fire you don’t want to go out.  Somewhere along the way, it leaves us if it’s not tended to and fed consistantly.

When you look around the world today, do you see a lot of people with passion?  It seems we live in a world of dream stealing and pessimism.  Why is that?  Who took the fire out of the oven?  Well, it happens over the course of time.  It happens from consistent beat downs in life.    How do you get it back?  Well, that is a question only you can answer.  Find out what your purpose is in life and go to work on it.  If it’s your true purpose, you will develop a passion towards it.

Purpose

Do you know what your purpose is in life?  Have you figured it out yet?  If not, perhaps it’s time you reach within and find out what it is.  I see so many people running in circles. Two foot forward and two foot back.  Just grinding the grindstone.  Doesn’t feel to fulfilling does it?

Everyone was born with different gifts and talents to be used towards their purpose in life.  Once you find out what these gifts are, you need to use them.  If you don’t, you will become bored with life and become very complaisant.

Desire

- To wish or long for; crave; want. ~Websters

I think we all desire things but few are ready to turn those desires into their physical form.  Fear holds most back. Fear of the unknown.  Fear is the biggest deceiver in life.  It is self imposed all of the time. The only things we fear when born are the fear of falling and the fear of loud noises.  Everything else we fear is learned.  Desire can be the fear killer if the desire is strong enough.  Having a burning desire for something changes us. It causes us to do things we never thought capable.

Fulfillment

-The act or state of fulfilling. i.e. To witness the fulfilling of  a dream. To achieve fulfillment of ones hopes.

Fulfillment is the feeling you get when you know you are doing what your supposed to be doing with your life.  It’s like the finishing touch on your passion, purpose and desires.

Most want to live a fulfilled life but it somehow evades them. Why do you think that is?  I think I have summed it up in one way or another previously in this post.

The secret to living a fulfilling life is to help others.  Serving other peoples needs before your own is one of the most important things you can do in life.  Your gifts and talents can be used to help other people’s gifts and talents.  Help others live a fulfilling life and by default, you will have yours.
