Are You Struggling To Make Changes In Your Life?
Tuesday, March 13th, 2012One of the things I used to struggle with with was getting out of my comfort zone and changing things that were not serving my life. Any kind of change is met with some kind of resistance, right?
Most people set goals too low and guess what? They hit them. Wouldn’t you rather set your goals high and miss?
Changing bad habits is tough, however, with small goal setting and taking things one day at a time, anyone can make changes in their life.
I just found out that my cholesterol is at 248. For me at 39, that’s high! I work out 4-6 times a week, eat like a king, however my downfall is that I love Beef, Cheese and Butter.
Guess what? As soon as I heard that number, I have made “Drastic” changes.
I didn’t go running to the doctor asking for medicine.
I had a shift in consciousness and decided to make an immediate change in my diet. Chances are that my wife and children will benefit from it too as I am the chef of the house.
If your unhappy with your weight, change your eating and exercise regimen.
If your unhappy with your marriage or relationships, make an effort to change them little by little.
If your unhappy with your bank account, do something about it, but don’t just think it’s going to go away on its own. It takes effort.

Josh and Kaylee Boxers Rockclimbing Adventure
Saturday, January 14th, 2012One of the things I love about being a dad is doing awesome stuff with my kids. Being that Kaylee’s birthday is coming up this week and she had a pass to go indoor Rockclimbing at Extreme Rockclimbing in Suwanee, Georgia, we decided to make a Saturday of it. She was one of the best climbers in the whole place, other then the instructors and had an absolute blast.

Things I am grateful for in 2011
So this year has been a whirlwind of fun. I have gotten to go to Las Vegas twice, Arizona and the Bahamas. I am grateful that I manifested the resources to do most of the things I set out to do this year. At the end of every year, I like to take a step back and look at the triumphs as well as losses and take an inventory of my life, relationships, etc.
I am grateful for my family
The cornerstone of everything I do in life is for the benefit of my wife Pamela and my two daughters Kaylee and Hannah. Without their love, understanding, patience and gentleness, I could not have come as far as I have. The older I get the more I realize just how precious time is. It’s the only thing in life that cannot be replaced. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.

How To Push Yourself Past Your Limits
Saturday, November 5th, 2011
Every Saturday morning I wake up about 6am and either meet with a few buddies or run solo. We or I usually run 5 miles and then head into the gym for a workout. These 5 miles we run are not flat. There are hills in excess of 45 degrees that go for a half mile and some longer.
This morning, it was just me, my ipod and the brisk fall air which read about 45 degrees. I love running in that kind of weather because I cool down a lot quicker and hardly break a sweat. Anyways, we usually take off running outside in the summer time here in Georgia because it’s just way too hot. We run from October through June here.
Towards the end of the run with about a mile left there is a huge hill to climb. As I approached this part of the run, my mind started playing tricks on me saying stuff like, “You can stop and walk for a bit or just skip this hill and head home. You deserve it as you have run hard today.”

How Seductress “Lindsay Lohan” Helped Me Overcome Writers Block.
Tuesday, October 25th, 2011
Everyone knows Lindsay Lohan. She’s had her ups and downs over the past couple of years. I came across an article on her about how Playboy offered her $750,000 to pose nude in their mag. She countered with a million, they said no way and she settled for the $750k. Good for her, right?
Anyway, backing up a little, about six months, I went to write a blog post and for the life of me, I couldn’t get any words out. A few days, weeks and months went by and I realized that I had “Self Imposed” writers block. It was quite frustrating for me as I wrote for business.
I started reading articles, news reports and anything I could to get rid of my writers block and start producing content again. Then Voila. I read the article about Lindsay Lohan and realized that there is tons of stuff to write about on any given day. I could write about my opinions of things going on in the world, about food (I love food by the way) or anything else.

All I Want For My Birthday Is………
Monday, April 25th, 2011
So today I turn 39 years old and the day has me reflecting back to all the things I have experienced up until this point in my life. I have probably lived in more places then most people on Earth, experienced a lot of cool things and have had a lot of friends come and go.
In thinking about what I really wanted for my birthday, I decided that what I really wanted was a kick-ass workout. This morning in the gym I worked out with one of my workout partners Mark and we did a Leg/Shoulders workout. In walked my trainer Bobby and upon wishing me a happy birthday, I asked him if he could hook me up with a ==>Metcon<== . It’s funny because the older I get the simpler I get. I used to want things for my birthday or at least I thought I did and today, I just want to feel great about myself through fitness.
So yep, I am crazy. All I want are endorphins for my birthday.
As I push towards the big “40″ I realize that I am right around the half way point in life. Scary – Yes! Am I afraid-No! I have lived a very fulfilling life up until this point. I have traveled to the middle east, grew up in the Hawaiian Islands, Surfed, Skydived, Scuba Dived, Speared Morey Eels, swam with sharks, jumped off 80 foot waterfalls in the jungle, skateboarded from the top of Haaleakala on Maui on a full moon, raided marijuana patches with machettes and trashbags and so many other adventures.

Happy New Year 2011 and Goodbye 2010.
Friday, December 31st, 2010
There are a lot of things I have to be grateful for this past year. Most of all, I am grateful for my family. Everyone has different reasons for doing what they do. My intentions are pure. I do it to create a legacy for MY family and the generations to follow.
This has been a whirlwind of a year. It seems that as the years go by, they go faster and faster. I just think it’s because I’m having so much darn fun.
It is said that time flies when your having fun. Over the past few weeks I have been planning my attack on 2011. It is said if you fail to plan, your plan will fail. I take that rather seriously.

How To Live Victoriously In A World Full of Tyranny.
Tuesday, December 7th, 2010
Speaking from an American standpoint we live in the free-est nation in the world. We have freedom of speech, freedom to bear arms, the freedom to vote and we are free to enterprise. In looking around and listening to the mainstream media and talking with friends and family, a lot of folks are living in fear.
After losing jobs, getting divorces, losing lifelong savings, our people have become discouraged and lack hope.
I am here to tell you that you need to celebrate the fact that you live in a country in which you are free to become who ever you want to become. Your history does not predict your future. Your circumstances do not predict your future either. It’s what you think about your circumstances that are going to have an effect on where you take your life.
