How To Go The Extra Mile In Life and In Business.

I woke up this morning at 6:30am Eastern Time. It was 43 degrees here in Cumming, Georgia and I had plans to meet my friend Todd Staley at the Greenway (A wilderness trail we have come to like running through).  I have my hat, gloves, earbuds and ipod ready to roll.

I arrive at 7am, it’s still pitch dark and there are about 15 other people either waiting for others or for it to daybreak.  One chick had a head-light on.  Anyways, Todd showed up and we were off.

Keep in mind, neither of us have ran 5 miles in 4-1/2 months.

Whether you know it or not, EVERYTHING you have, do and say has to do with the way you think.  We all have this inner voice that speaks to us on a daily basis.  To truly achieve network marketing success, we have to be very conscience of that voice and what we allow it to tell us.

The voice will either empower or quite frankly take away our power.

What story are you playing over and over in your head about why you can or cannot do certain things.  Think about the things in your business that you know you should be doing to get results but your not doing them because you have tried them before and didn’t get the results you are looking for or….. How To Just Be Yourself, Have Fun and Make Money In Direct Sales and Network Marketing.

I can remember it like it was yesterday.  I had just gotten started in network marketing and boy was I fired up.  I thought that by noon tomorrow I would have a huge organization and all of my friends and family were getting in and I was going to make all of this money.

Boy was I wrong!

In fact, it was just the opposite.  Not only did none of them get in, but they started avoiding me like the plague.  When I think back to that time, who could blame them.

You see, I had no real value to offer them.  Sure the products and services were great, just not for them.  I was pitching and selling instead of story telling.  I continued to try to impress people with my newly found business, however struggled for 3 years and had nothing to show for it, monetarily anyways.

MLM is a Joke – Yep I Said it!

I know, that is a bold statement and I am sure I will have some of the industries “Guru’s” jumping down my throat about that statement, but lets face it.   Most of the products that are marketed in the MLM industry are not even worthy of their weight and if they are, they are WAY over priced.

I know, your saying that people get into MLM to make money not worry about the cost of the product right?  Yep, heard it all before. I also know that your product is exclusive to your company and can’t be found anywhere else and that’s why its $45 a bottle.  No, it’s $45 bucks a bottle so that everyone in the line of sponsorship moving the product can get paid on it.

You see, after being around for some years, I have seen a thing or two, experienced first hand a thing or two and know more then a few things about the MLM business model and how it all works.  Does it work?  Sure it does, however not for many.

Take any MLM company and divide the number of total distributors with the amount of people making a full time income or rather $1000 a month in PROFIT!  You would be surprised at how that number is probably 1/100th of 1%.  That’s right.  I’ve done the numbers.  What does that tell you? (more…)

I don’t know about you but time sure does fly quick when I am online. Sometimes two hours can fly by and it seems like twenty minutes.  It’s a phenomena.

I can also remember when I first got started learning how to put together my business online how I got distracted doing things that produced nothing.

Two LumberJacks Teach A Life Lesson.

Two Lumber Jacks

There is a story of two lumberjacks, one in his later years and a strong young man.  Both were fearless lumberjacks and could clear big trees swiftly out of a forrest. One day the young lad challenged the old man to see who could cut down the most trees in a day.

That day, both men went with their Axes and went to work. One tree after the other, the men used their skill with an Axe to cut down many trees that day. About mid-day, the young man noticed that after the old man cut down a tree, he would take a 10-15 minute break.

At the end of the day, they tallied up the number of trees each chopped down. The old man had cut down 10 more trees that day then the young man.  The young lad looked at the old man and said, “How is it that I took no breaks the whole day and you took a break after each tree and you cut down so many more trees than I.”  The old man looked at the boy and said, “Son, you thought I was taking a break, I was, but what you didn’t see if me sharpening my Axe every time I rested.” (more…)

How To Forget About Your Past And Blast Into Your Future.

For years I dwelt on the glory days. How good it was to be free once I left to go off to college back in the early 1990′s.   I had little responsibility other than to make sure that someday I got a college degree.

I joined the fraternity, had the women, partied for almost 10 years straight and really had an awesome time.

Years after that was over, I found myself still trying to live that same life. I would get together with my old college buddies and rehash “The good ole’ Days”.

Then, something happened.
