Social Media and Trying to Trick Google

That’s what I used to think I was doing to gain page rank.  I have to admit, when I first got started as an internet marketer, I spent hours researching keywords for my content and trying to get the most bang for the buck of everything I did.

Every “Greenhorn’ marketer just getting started does the same exact thing and its a great way to learn the basics, get your content listed quickly.

What I realized is, instead of putting so much energy into backlinking, article distributing, yada yada,, that if I just concentrated on shooting from the hip  and how things are, it would be more natural and people would really get a feel for who I was, rather than trying to please google with my stuff. Working Yourself Out!

To Make it, your going to have to WORK!!

OK, so when I go to the gym I can have two kinds of workouts.  I can either push myself or just take it easy.  Here is what I know: If I dont push my outlimits in the gym, I dont have the best of gains its plain and simple.  So like in business you must also work out and push the envelope.

Yes it hurts sometimes, its uncomfortable at times but I know the rules and I know them well.  Nothing spectacular ever happens in life unless you go the extra-mile.  The extra mile is when the blessing pours out.

Skies don’t part and the windows of heaven dont open for lazy slackers.  You get the gold at the end of the rainbow because you fought for it.  You will get it because you did whatever it took.

With all the hype out there about getting the body of your dreams in 6 weeks and making a million bucks and retiring in your first year of business, it amazes me how many fall for the trap.

I grew up on Maui with a great friend Jordan and will leave his last name out for privacy reasons.  This guy is an absolute genious when it comes to people and the planets.  He has discovered truths about our race, planets, etc. that have never been talked about nor discovered until now.

A Twitter Dilemma

I Have A Dilemma…

It’s been the source of an internal debate for a few weeks now, and I’d like to get your thoughts…

I’m talking about Twitter, and the single question that we must all eventually answer…

Do you follow someone just because they followed you? Or do you only follow people you genuinely know and want to follow?

Over the past few months, I’ve done both.

After getting a letter from my friend Mike Dillard on his interaction with social media maven, Perry Belcher, I decided to “reciprocal follow” everyone who was following me .

There are two reasons you’d want to do this…

1: It’s polite.

Network Marketing For Dummies

I am always baffled as to how people gather their information.  Most look to the bathroom walls to the internet, others are just flat ignorant.

As Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki recently stated, “If we had to do it all over again, we would have made our money in network marketing.”

That statement alone should silence the people who dont understand our industry, but post on the net like they are 10 year veterans of the network marketing industry.  Ignorance is the only word for it. Actually there is another, but I will remain civil

The bad rap in the industry came from folks way before the internet age.  Its when downlines cut checks to their uplines to pay for product and the uplines distributed the products to the team leads who gave the product to their downlines.

With the exchange of cash and checks, some people had bad money habits as well as other habits and ultimately people got hosed, lost money and got a bad taste in their mouths about the industry.

Ma’alaea Bay

Ma’alaea holds a special place in my heart and are where some of my fondest memories of the Island have taken place thus far.

Ma’alaea Harbor is a small South seaport famed for both its winter population of visiting whales from December thru April.  These Humpbacks travel from Alaska to Maui every year.   And then the legendary Ma’alaea Pipeline wave. When a robust South swell hits Maui, surfers from far and near head for Ma’alaea to experience the tubular perfection of one of the world’s fastest rideable waves some at 90MPH.

The waters and reefs of Ma’alaea are important to many species. Ma’alaea Bay is part of the National Humpback Whale Marine Sanctuary – a favorite mating and birthing grounds for the endangered Humpbacks. Friendly Green Sea Turtles browse reefs that border the harbor entrance. Over one hundred species of fish and other marine life make those same reefs their home.
